Hazel's special Sikh wedding ensemble

Since the couple will first go for a traditional Sikh wedding at a gurudwara in Fatehgarh Sahib, Yuvraj will don a sherwani with a turban and Hazel will dress up in Sikh bridal wear, which is a red and gold embroidered patiala suit.

Most Sikh brides go for the red and gold combination because the colour is considered auspicious for brides. As is tradition, this outfit will be gifted by her mother-in-law Shabnam Singh, who will also gift the bride-to-be a raanihaar, which is a heavy gold neckpiece made up of multiple layers.

Hazel's special dresses for her Hindu wedding

Luckily, Hazel is not just going to be a part of one wedding ceremony at the Dera, but will also have another Hindu wedding in Goa preceded by mehendi and haldi ceremonies. And she has enlisted her friend and designer Ashley Rebello for the job.

Ace designer Ashley Rebello, who is also a favourite of Salman Khan, has been entrusted with the task to design Hazel's wedding trousseau. Needless to say, Rebello has prepared the outfits and has finally shared their look.

He has designed a wedding outfit for her Hindu wedding in Goa a well for her haldi and mehendi ceremonies that will take place in Chandigarh before the Sikh wedding at the Dera.

Rebello reveals Hazel's outfit details

"For the mehendi and haldi ceremonies, I have designed an off-white lehenga with a plain Benarasi border and a sleeveless kurti with gota work. She’s a very simple girl and wanted something according to her tastes," he shares.

As for the Hindu wedding ceremony outfit he says, "For the wedding in Goa, I have made a red-and-gold Benarasi sari for her with a zardozi kamarbandh and jewellery by Anmol. She has also taken an Indigo-coloured jumpsuit with a zardozi belt and collar for the reception the next day."

Speaking about the bride-to-be Rebello told a leading daily he said, "I have known Hazel since (film) Bodyguard and she’s a very close friend. She’s a very homely girl and Yuvraj is blessed to have her."

Although this bride is very simple in her dressing, we expect some dhamaka in makeup. There are some hot fashion trends that have taken over the wedding season and they are something to watch out for.

Wedding trends to watch out for

Here are some trends we are expecting from Hazel's various wedding ceremonies.

  • Flower jewellery: The trend of flower jewellery has been hot for quite sometime now. The bride-to-be usually adorns her wrists, neck, ears as well as hair with real or artificial flowers, especially for the mehendi ceremony and we are expecting something similar for Hazel. Since she is opting for an off-white lehenga, flower jewellery will go perfectly with her ensemble.
  • Bright red lips: Although she is a simple girl and loves her no-makeup look, we are sure that she is going to opt for bright red and oxblood lips for her wedding ceremonies. Bright and dark lips are in this wedding season and they are the best accessory for a new bride. For her Sikh ceremony, since she has opted for a red and gold suit, she is likely to finish her look with a bright red lip. Likewise, for her Hindu wedding ceremony, where again she has opted for the same colour.
  • Bold eyebrows: If there was a trend to seriously follow this wedding season, it would have to be bold eyebrows. Gone are the days when slender and thin brows were a 'thing.' Now is the time for bold eyebrows, which have been made famous, thanks to Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Hazel already likes to keep her brows bold and it is trend we are likely to see her follow throughout her wedding ceremonies.
