New parents Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra have so far kept their five-month-old daughter Hinaya Heer Plaha, away from the limelight.
With most of her initial months spent in London with her mother's side of the family, Hinaya is only now being introduced to her father's side of the family in India.
And it seems that this easy introduction has made the new parents more confident of showing off their cute baby girl.
So while initially the couple kept pictures of their daughter away from social media, they let go of this inhibition and shared a rather adorable picture of their family.
Hinaya's first ever picture!
New mum Geeta who keeps sharing glimpses of her baby girl, shared the picture on her Instagram and titled it: "Lakh Khushiyan Path Shaiyan, Je Sathgur Nadar Kare #blessed #hinaya #heer #waheguru #goldentemple #grateful."
The couple had taken their daughter, Hinaya for a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, and the picture marked Hinaya's first appearance on social media. She is seen curiously looking at the view while her parents smile and pose for the shot.
It also seems that the protective dad Harbhajan thought it better to hold his baby girl amidst the crowds, just as any regular father would do.
Hinaya is Santa's lil helper
But this was not the only picture that the doting new mum shared. On Christmas Eve, Basra surprised her fans with yet another adorable image, this time of Hinaya dressed as a Santa!
Sharing the picture Basra wrote: "Santas lil helper ! ❤️Merry Christmas everyone ! @harbhajan3." Isn't that cute! It seems that Hinaya was helping her parents deck up their home for Christmas and was pretty pleased with the result.
As for her parents, they were certainly enjoying this time and are more than happy with their parenting duties.
In fact, while Basra has been a hands-on mum and has taken a break from her career to look after Hinaya, Bhajji paaji is also quite engaged with his daddy duties.

Bhajji paaji loves daddy duties
The new mum recently shared a picture of Harbhajan Singh taking his daddy duties rather seriously. It seems that his primary responsibility is not just changing diapers, but also taking little Hinaya Heer out to walks.
Sharing the picture with the caption “Father on duty,” Geeta proved that Harbhajan is an actively involved father. Singh is also quite involved in his baby's napping schedule and her nigh feeds.
In an interview he revealed how. “When she sleeps, we sleep. When she is up, we are up. I am doing all to be a great dad to her. Just want to be the best one for my little one. Hopefully, I can fulfil all her needs,” he said.
Adding that he was grateful for this new gift in his life he said that his respect for women has increased many folds, thanks to his lovely daughter.
“I just want to thank the almighty for giving me this lovely diamond. My respect for females has increased a thousand times after having a daughter. We are what we are because of them,” shared the ace spinner.
While sharing his role as an involved father, Singh also highlighted the importance of being one. Many new celebrity fathers like Shahid Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh are setting the example of how being involved fathers can help in quality upbringing.
Why all fathers should be hands-on
Over the past few years, we have noticed that modern fathers are quite involved in the upbringing of their kids. They are no longer distant and in fact, want to spend quality time raising their kids.
This new culture has given rise to a new generation of hands-on dads, and this is exactly what your child also needs!
- Strengthens the bond: When you are engaged in physical activities including diaper changing, feeding or bathing or swaddling the baby, it leads to a greater bond between you and the baby. In addition, a father’s touch makes the baby feel secure and happy.
- Learn more about each other: When you are a hands-on father, not only do you see your child growing in front of you, but you also learn his likes and dislikes. Similarly, the child also learns from you and understands what you may like or not like. He will naturally also emulate your behaviour.
- Helps reconnect with wife: When you're a hands-on father, you allow your wife a little time to relax. This can help her get back to her new mum duties with ease and with much more energy. Remember that tin order for the mother and the child to both be healthy, you must hell her out during night feeds or simple jobs like changing diapers.
