Haan main baap banne walaa hoon: Shahid Kapoor confirms wife Mira's pregnancy
The actor was at the promo launch of his upcoming film Udta Punjab when the media just kept on asking him questions about his wife's pregnancy rumours
Ever since Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput was spotted at the Lakme Fashion Week with a what looked like a baby bump, the gossip mills have been abuzz with the rumours of the couple being in the family way.
But Shahid has put an end to all the gossip when he declared to the media that he is, in fact, soon to be a father. The actor was at the promo launch of his upcoming film Udta Punjab when the media just kept on asking him questions about his wife's pregnancy rumours.
That's when he decided to put a stop to all the gossip and said:"Why are you asking ghuma firake (round about), ask directly. Yes...haan mein baap banane wala hoon (yes, I am going to become a father)."
After their much-talked about wedding in Gurgaon on July 7, last year, Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor have certainly become the paparazzi favourites with every pic of theirs being shared in the media.
Mira's pregnancy rumours started when she was sported at the Lakme Fashion Week as she walked the ramp for fashion designer Anita Dongre and while doing so she was a little conscious and was constantly hiding her baby bump with her dupatta.
While there was no confirmation from Shahid and Mira that time, celebrity designer Masaba Gupta posted a picture on her Instagram and gave it a very interesting caption-- “#Repost @mira.kapoor with @repostapp. Two M's and a Bum #sayheytobey - little M (sic)," she wrote.
It is quite known in the media circles that Shahid has been quite open about his relationship with wife Mira and keeps on posting pics of the two of them on Instagram. Here's a cute picture of the couple that Shahid has posted on New Year's.

Work wise, Shahid Kapur will next be seen in the Udta Punjab along with Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Daljit Singh Dosanj. The movie has already garnered rave reviews for its novel concept and story. Looks like this would be a fantabulous year for Shahid. We wish him all the best!
