A few months back actor Ayesha Takia made a huge splash with her public appearance. The 31-year-old mum's pictures looked quite different from her older self.
She had drastically plumper lips, thinner nose as well as a seemingly stiff face with cheek fillers. Those pictures made Takia an easy target of trolls.
"Morphed picture was shared online"
However, she hit back saying her photographs were morphed and that she had not gone under the knife.
“I was in Goa when the morphed picture was shared online. I have a small face but in that picture it looked long and funny. I passed it off with a laugh,” she told Mid-Day adding that with a hyper-active 3.5-year-old child in town, she can't even visit a spa.
She also clarified that she never went under the knife.
“I’ve never been someone who wanted to look pretty with nothing to say. When people see me face-to-face they know immediately that I’ve not gone under the knife and they are the ones who matter,” she said.
Takia surprises all in her new avatar
But that was a few months ago.
Takia has resurfaced again, this time with her son Mikhail and was recently spotted by some photographers coming out of her husband's cafe in Mumbai.
Needless to say, she looked nothing like that alleged 'morphed' photograph and seems to have lost even more weight than before.
Ayesha's weight loss secret
The primary reason for Takia to have bounced back into her pre-baby body is her strict dietary routine and regular exercise. Most people are unaware that Ayesha is a vegan (not pure vegetarian).
A vegan is a person who does not consume anything made from animals and depends on natural plant-based meals. This has certainly been helpful for Takia and not to forget she has a very active kid as well.
In fact, she is set to launch her own vegan restaurant with her mum as the Head Chef. This svelte mum is certainly putting all her efforts into bringing a vegan revolution that has changed her body and lent her face a glow.
If you are planning to become a vegan but are afraid that you may not be able to leave your milk and meat behind, here's how you can change your lifestyle to adopt this fresher one.
3 things to note before turning vegan
- Prepare a plan: Leaving dairy products and meat suddenly can take a toll on your mind more than your body and therefore, you need a starter plan. Research about the fruits and vegetables that are vegan and fat-free. However, if you feel you cannot completely cut off sugars and dairy, go slow and progress as you move forward.
- Get a check up: Going vegan suddenly would mean losing on iron and Vitamin B12 that you may be getting from dairy and meat. So speak to your doctor and ask them if you healthy enough to experiment with a vegan diet. Many mums including Kareena Kapoor Khan are completely off meat however they include dairy products in their diet.
- Identify your goal: Why are you turning vegan? Are you are doing it for quick weight loss or do you want to change your lifestyle and adopt a plant based lifestyle? Be clear on why you are changing your diet and work on your diet chart accordingly. Check how many calories you need per day and add nutritious greens and plant-based subzi and salads and plant-based milk such as soy milk and almond milk in your diet.
