Sometimes children let out the truth in normal day to day conversations, which can often shock the people around them. That's what happened when the police were investigating a case of sexual injury suffered by a child at the hands of another older child at a Bhopal orphanage.
What happened was that an eight-year-old girl injured a seven-year-old girl while sexual exploratory play at a government-run orphanage by inserting her fingers into the latter's vagina. The little girl started bleeding and she was taken to the district hospital for treatment.
But the reason she gave to the police for her act, shocked them to bits. "Bhaiya told that it is good for health!" she told the investigating officers.
Yes, that's right!

“Bhaiyya ne bola ye sehat ke liye achcha hai (brother said this is good for health),” is the statement that left the policemen from the Katni district in a state of shock.
A case of minor rape...
On further investigations, the policemen found that the incident was actually the case of rape of a minor and the little girl was sexually abused for nearly two months by a man that she called "bhaiya".
“He used to sleep with me every day. Whenever I complained of pain, he used to tell me it is good for health. Counsellors are working with the girl. The injured girl is in the hospital, but she is fine," said a police officer investigating the case.
Later on, it was found that the man was a peon at an orphanage that sheltered 6-year-olds and one where she earlier lived.
The accused, who is thirty years old, was soon arrested after the revelation made by the girl.
A lesson for all parents...
Besides, sexual abuse, the incident once again brings into light the fact that kids can sometimes reveal a bitter truth in the most innocent way, but chances are we might not understand them. But what do we do as parents? We try and see that we don't miss out on crucial details by observing our children:

2. Do you listen to your child?: In order to be better role models, many times as parents we try to be more preachy and teach our kids instead of listening to them. So, change the rules this time, let your child speak and pour his heart out to you.
3. Does your child speak up at school? We might let our kids take the lead at home, but what about school. Is your child being allowed to put his point there and say what's on his mind?
