Gali Janardhan Reddy's daughter wears diamonds worth 98 crore at her wedding!
Brahmani Reddy's wedding took the word 'lavish' to a whole new level. Here's proof
Last month, it was the audacious wedding invite that made news and today the actual wedding is making headlines!
If you recall, we gave you a sneak peek into Brahmani and Rajiv Reddy's wedding through their lavish wedding invite. It was a box invite that played a three-minute video of the Reddy family lip syncing to a Kannada song. This invitation alone is said to have cost the family Rs 5 crore and gave everybody a glimpse of the lavishness of the wedding.
And now the actual wedding is living upto the expectation of extravagance. Yes, that's correct.
One-third of the Bellary brothers of Karanataka and billionaire Gali Janaradhan Reddy married off his daughter Bharmani, 21, to Rajiv Reddy, 25, son of Hyderabad-based businessman Vikram Deva Reddy in the most lavish wedding ever.
Sangeet and mehendi ceremonies
The event is reportedly estimated at Rs 550 crore, but the mining baron isn't making any qualms about it.
The wedding ceremonies began with the sangeet and mehendi functions where the bride donned a Neeta Lulla bespoke lehenga, while the groom was seen in a blue and black sherwani.
By the looks of the pictures from the event, the bride clearly prefers her diamonds and was decked up in heavy sets!

The big fat wedding
The sangeet was followed by the actual wedding ceremony. This took place in a huge air-conditioned tent at the 36 acre Bengaluru Palace Grounds. Reddy wanted the tent to look exactly like the Vijayanagar empire palace.
The wedding saw an estimated 50,000 guests and 3,000 security guards and bouncers, who were welcomed into the tent by two large elephant (read fake)! Inside the tent was the mandapam, which was a replica of the Lord Balaji's temple.
The billionaire host left no stone unturned to make this event a huge success. He invited not just family, but also VVIPs as well as the politicians, who made a beeline to attend the much-awaited wedding.
No star performers
Initially there were rumours that actor Shah Rukh Khan would perform at the wedding, but given the surgical strike on black money, it seems most stars who were earlier slated to attend the wedding, gave it a miss.
The bride's jewellery and saree
Last but not the least, if you thought the wedding venue and the invite were extravagant, you'd be amazed to see how much the bride's attire and her jewellery cost. It certainly took the cake when it came to 'lavish.'
Brahmani Reddy, 21, reportedly wore diamonds worth 98 crore and her saree alone cost Rs 17 crore to her father! Her jewellery included an elaborate maang tikka down till the end of her plait (read spine), nath, a bajuband, a waistband and several-layered diamond necklace.
Well, if that isn't the big fat Indian wedding, we wonder what is!
