Whether it was their courtship or live-in relationship or their wedding, the Nawab of Pataudi and his Begum have always been the media's sweethearts. And now with Bebo's pregnancy, the frenzy around this famous B-town couple has touched another level.
From Kareena's pregnancy diet to her bumpy ramp walk and red carpet appearances, to her decision to work through the pregnancy and going for royal photoshoots, she has been hailed for wearing her bump like a badge of honour and we wouldn't expect anything less!
So it's no surprise that their baby-to-be would get an equal amount of attention. And to make sure that baby Pataudi experiences the lavish stardom his/her parents are used to, Kareena and Saif are going all out to prepare a baby nursery at home.
Yes, that's correct.
Bebo is working on her baby's nursery
Just as any new parents-to-be, Kareena and Saif are also on their toes to make sure they have the cutest and the most amazing looking baby nursery at home. In fact, the glowing mum-to-be Kareena Kapoor Khan was recently spotted at the luxury interior design AA Living's boutique in Mumbai.
The radiant make-up free Bebo was seen wearing a lemon-coloured maxi dress and checked out designer cribs and beds for her baby and even posed on a bed she found comfortable.
Naturally, the arrival of this star mummy-to-be made the store owners super excited who went on an overdrive to get her picture.
The store's creative head, Rohina Anand Khira then posted a picture of Kareena and wrote: "What Monday blues?! Beautiful mommy to be Kareena Kapoor Khan was shopping at our @aa.living store this morning for her baby nursery! Woooohooo!! Love her! #fanmoment #aaliving #mumbai"
But that's not all. Daddy-to-be Saif Ali Khan is also busy shopping for the nursery and has already bought a very important item for the baby.

Saif is readying his baby's nursery
Since the eight months pregnant Kareena is no longer allowed to travel, Saif has taken it upon himself to look for items that the couple might need for their baby.
This means travelling to Delhi to get the best pram for his Nawabi baby. Saif has been quite involved in the pregnancy, and has often been seen helping Bebo around and spending time with her.
So it was a natural step for him to be a part of nursery shopping and he started by buying the best thing for his baby!
Luxury stroller for baby Pataudi
The Nawab of Pataudi reportedly went to a high-end designer store in Delhi and purchased what is being touted as the Rolls Royce of baby prams. A report in DNA states that Khan bought the Peg Perego stroller with matching accessories.
True to its monicker, this stroller is as luxurious as it is comfortable and costs a whopping Rs 30,000!
A source told the daily, "It being Bebo’s eighth month, she cannot fly to Delhi, so Saif doesn’t want her to miss out and sends her pictures of their available options. In fact, the Delhi store the royal jodi picked, keeps abreast of baby fashion in New York and Paris."
He added, "Saif has bought what is considered the Rolls Royce of prams — a Peg Perego stroller with matching accessories. The price tag? A fit-for-a-prince rate of Rs 30,000.”
Well, we don't expect anything less that Nawabi for this baby anyway!
5 surprising things you need in the baby's nursery
Just as Saif and Kareena have become busy readying a nursery for their baby, if you are also about to become parents you will need to begin this work a few weeks before the delivery date.
While you may feel a crib and stroller are needed, chances are that you may be gifted these items during your baby shower.
So here's a list of some surprising things you're going to need:
- Feeding chair: Not many new mums pay attention to the fact that you would need a separate feeding zone or a comfortable lazy chair where you can sit upright and feed your baby. Since breastfeeding must advisably be done while sitting straight to allow easy digestion and fewer chances of reflux by the baby, a chair is your ideal companion.
- Stimulating colours: You may have wanted to paint your nursery in a single pastel shade, but know that different vibrant colours actually help to stimulate your baby's brain. You can add adhesive stripes or family pictures at a corner that is visible to your baby and remove them once he/she is a bit older.
- Storage cupboards: An open storage cupboard is another essential that you would need. You can add cloth drawers or soft cardboard drawers that you can label for easy access to store your baby's clothes and diapers. You can also place your baby's toys or any item that you can store away to keep the room clean and neat. After all, your baby needs space to explore!
- Cooling and ventilation: Having a baby in a metropolitan like Delhi means that you will have to be extra cautious about the air that your baby breathes. So make sure to install an air conditioner and have a proper ventilation system in place. Also, if needed, don't hesitate to opt for an air purifier.
- Bouncer/booster chair: You may also need a booster or bouncer chair for your baby to relax and play, while you work. It is also much more comfortable than a flat crib and cradles your baby mimicking your womb's vibrations. Be sure to safely strap your baby while you work.
