"Aaradhya too is a sensitive girl. I think it's a wonderful quality to have," says Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has bagged the 'Most beautiful woman' title, again

When she became Miss World in 1994, she took the world stage by storm and was proclaimed the most beautiful woman. Her dreamy blue-green eyes and her poise made her a people's favourite and she became a queen of hearts in no time.

Today, after 22 years, life has come a full circle for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, when she was once again declared the most beautiful woman.

The Jazbaa actor graced the cover of a fashion magazine and revealed some interesting things about herself, her bond with her mother and of course, her loving and 'sensitive' daughter.

"My mother is the nucleus of my existence"

Donning a gorgeous Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla gown, the ever graceful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spilled the beans about her beauty as well as her greatest strength of all.

"Beauty is transient and changes with time. I have always extended beyond a singular dimension. I haven't been just a model, actor or title winner. The course I charted out for my career made me multi-dimensional and gave me opportunities to represent India on many global platforms," she told the magazine.

She also added that she was happy in this phase of her life, thanks to her darling daughter. "I'm a happy girl, can't you tell? A smile from my daughter (Aaradhya) and that's it," she shared.

As for her mother, the actor said, "My mother is the nucleus of my existence, she has gently moulded me, shaped me, picked me up when I've been down, kept the faith in me, and taught me to be the best version of myself that I can be."

She was also quizzed on how she maintains herself at 40 and she revealed her secret.

"I believe in being confident"

During the interview she revealed, "It's important to be healthy of course, I have always enjoyed my food and never been one for strict diets- and am not taking any recommendations now either."

She also spoke about her secret to glam up at the red carpet and what makes her so glamourous. "I believe in being confident and dressing up in something that truly shows who I am- that's my little secret."

"My daughter is sensitive"

As for her daughter, Aaradhya, she said that she was happy that her daughter had this important trait that most girls should have. "Aaradhya too is a sensitive girl. I think it's a wonderful quality to have," she said.

In her interview, Aishwarya raised an important point about how we must raise our daughters so they become as respectful as she is towards their parents and as sensitive as Aaradhya.

Kids at Harm in Maids' Hands
  • Empathetic: Only if you are sensitive, would you be empathetic. In this day and age, when every sitiation seems so harsh and sometimes even violent, we must teach out daughters to be empathetic and try to understand the issues from the point of view of those who are going through it.
  • Socially aware: Sensitive kids are socially-aware because they try to understand the situation from a fair point. Such kids are also able to contribute and help others. Plus, this is one quality we must anyway try to imbibe in our kids and make them more socially-aware.
  • Non-judgemental: Sensitive kids are also non-judgemental because they observe situations and problems rather than judge the people involved in it. In this technological age, where one 'Like' can make or break personalities, it's necessary to teach our kids to be non-judgemental.
