This video is the perfect example of how dads and diapers make for the most hilarious combination. If you are also struggling to take care of your baby's diaper changing needs, here's how you can prepare yourself:
- Be prepared: Spread out a clean changing pad or towel on which to lay the baby, ready the baby wipes, keep a clean diaper handy along with a medication for diaper rash or powder.
- Use a safe surface: Make sure that the surface on which you change your baby's diaper is flat, clean and safe; preferably a floor, bed or table.
- Know how to use a diaper: Understand and learn how to easily use a diaper so you can keep yourself and your baby clean, and also so that it does not hurt the baby.
- Clean the baby: Learn how to clean the baby with wipes or with a warm towel or simply with warm water. You must hold the baby securely in your hands and clean his diaper area.
- Diaper the baby and discard the used diaper: When you make the child wear the diaper, make sure you have cleaned his diaper area properly and gently make him wear the diaper. Also remember that if your baby's umbilical stump has not fallen yet, fold the diaper away from it. Once you have made him wear the clean diaper, place the baby in a clean basinet or on the bed and roll up the dirty diaper and throw it away in a dustbin. Prepare yourself for a similar round in a few hours and be ready with a new diaper, wipes and powder.
These are few easy guiding steps for new daddies, that will no longer make dads and diapers a bad combination.
