Congratulations! Dia Mirza is all set to become a mother using THIS novel method

Congratulations! Dia Mirza is all set to become a mother using THIS novel methodCongratulations! Dia Mirza is all set to become a mother using THIS novel method

Actor Dia Mirza candidly shared that she is ready to become a mother and she has finalised a unique and novel plan to have babies!

Actor and social activist Dia Mirza broke many hearts when she married her long-time beau Sahil Sangha in 2014. The much-in-love couple have since managed to ward off the one question that haunts all newlyweds- "When are you having kids?"

But it seems the couple has finally come around this big life decision and are ready to take the plunge and become parents. Yes, that's correct.

Mirza wants to become a mother, but not naturally

In a recent interview, Mirza not only revealed that becoming a mother would be a natural progression for her, she even hinted at the unique way in which she wants to become a parent.

While discussing her desire to have children she said that it was a topic she and her husband discuss, they are not sure if they want to procreate themselves.

"This has been a recurring thought, and I have been discussing and thinking about it for a while. Procreation is such a natural human process, yet see the population density on the planet, and you are forced to question whether we need to procreate,” she shared with Deccan Chronicle.

"We would like to adopt children"

She also added that the couple were certain that they would adopt instead of procreate.

“It’s a serious dialogue we’ve engaged in, but honestly, we haven’t arrived at any conclusion. But we would like to adopt children. There’s no uncertainty about that,” she candidly shared.

Mirza also clarified that they are only interested to adopt because of a very specific reason.

“The big question is should we be having a child of our own? Won’t we be adding to the exploding population? An adopted child can nurture the maternal instinct, but then you can’t fight nature right? So many questions between the head and the heart,  but I am sure we will arrive at a conclusion because I want to,” shared the ever-smiling Mirza.

Many celebs in favour of adoption

Interestingly, Mirza is not the only celebrity who supports adoption. Her decision (to adopt) will bring her closer to gal pal Sushmita Sen, who is a single mum to two adopted girls.

In fact, mum-of-four Raveena Tandon also shares a similar feeling because she herself adopted two girls at the age of just 21.

In her recent interview, Tandon said, "I advise adoption over surrogacy. I believe that making someone a part of your life through adoption provides a deeper sense of gratification."

She added, "It might be your own selfish need to find happiness but I feel so proud when I see my girls and what they have made of their lives. Of course, you can go ahead and have biological kids, but to adopt a child is the greatest gift that you can give to any child."

We agree because adoption can certainly change the child's life as well as fill the childless couple's life with happiness. But how do you opt for adoption in India? Is it an easy process? Well, here's a lowdown.

How to adopt a child in India?

In order to adopt a child, the couple or single potential parent has to follow strict rules laid down by the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA). They have specifically listed the procedure of adoption on their official website.

But here's what you basically need to know:
