Congratulations are in order! Cricketer Harbhajan Singh and wife Geeta Bara have been blessed with a baby girl in London. The good news was broken by Harbhajan Singh's mother Avtar Kaur in an interview to a leading regional daily in the north.
Harbhajan Singh had to stop the shooting of his new comedy show Mazaak Mazaak mein last week as he had to fly immediately to London to be with wife Geeta.

While Avtar Kaur congratulated her son and daughter-in-law on the phone, she could not accompany his son to London due to last minute visa hassles. However, Harbhajan's mother told the newspaper that both the mother and the newborn are perfectly healthy, say reports.
After a long courtship, Harbhajan married Geeta in a lavish ceremony in Jalandhar on October 29, 2015. Harbhajan had been flying in and out of London for quite sometime now to accompany wife Geeta. The couple had also taken a few vacations and went town-hopping in London to enjoy some "couple time" before the baby's arrival.

Earlier there were reports on how Harbhajan's mother Avtar Kaur is preparing for her bahu Geeta's delivery. While she was in no mood to discuss all her plans once bahu Geeta Basra delivers the baby, one thing that she would definitely not miss is making the traditional confinement food, Panjeeri, for her.
“We are simple people and don’t believe in ostentatious. Of course, we will make panjeeri, (a traditional confinement food for new mothers that is really popular in the north). I will take it with me to London after Geeta’s delivery,” she had said at that time.
Harbhajan was also attending prenatal classes with Geeta in London and had said,"“I’ve always been a responsible man when it comes to family… And with the baby, that would only grow. It’s a new chapter, I am looking forward to it. I’ve attended a few classes where they tell you what to expect, and help you prepare for your role as parents. There were other parents too."
While the couple have still not confirmed about the birth of their daughter, we're sure the duo are on cloud nine and enjoying every moment of parenthood. We wish the couple all the very best on their new journey.
