Five months after the arrival of her little nephew Taimur, the thirty-eight-year-old actress is set to become a mommy herself and she's beaming with joy. And the one person who is helping her the most is bhabhi Kareeena Kapoor Khan who just had her delivery in December.
Soha says that Kareena has been really helpful in giving her advice about her pregnancy diet and the kind of food that is allowed to eat.

"Kareena has been very helpful. She recently has gone through this phase. So, I keep asking her a lot of questions on a daily basis like kya yeh allowed hai, kya main yeh khaa saktee hoon, kya sahee hai aur kya galat hai. Woh to ro hee chalta rehta hai," Soha told a leading national daily.
Daughter of Sharmila Tagore and late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Soha is not sure how the journey ahead will be like, which is what many to-be mums feel.
"I really don't know what to expect or how the journey ahead is going to be like. This Mothers' Day was a milestone for me because all my life I've appreciated my mother so much and now I am going to be a mom myself," adds Soha.
Whole Kareena has been helping her with advice, Soha says that she is also very blessed to have a husband like Kunal, who is taking good care of her.
"Kunal and I have been together for nine years now. We feel very blessed and were ready for this phase in our life. But I haven't felt alone at all. He has been extremely supportive of me in this journey and takes care of me in all way possible and makes me feel like a yummy mummy," she says.
Besides hubby Kunal, Soha says that she is also getting a lot of support from hers and her in-laws.
"I have my and Kunal's family. Kunal has been a wonderful partner and this phase can be overwhelming for the to-be mother and father. He has done very well," she adds.
Family environment during pregnancy
Family environment during and after pregnancy is very important for the health and wellness of the new mother and also the baby.
According to clinical psychologist Varkha Chulani, there are many factors that contribute to postnatal depression in a new mother.
"The family and the support system around the mother are very important in determining her state of mind. It goes without saying that a more rested mother is a less anxious mother," she says.
Chulani adds that a happy mother helps raise a more confident baby.
"A well-relaxed, rested mum has the confidence of raising the child in the right way as the child picks up the vibes or the non-verbals cues such as the mother is smiling, laughing, joking and simply knows that he is in a happy space," she says.
