With so many cases of domestic abuse surfacing up every day, it's shocking that more and more women are still being abused at home at the hands of their husbands and in-laws.
An extremely horrific incident is being reported from the IT city of India, Bengaluru, wherein a 32-year-old man (Dilip Kumar ) has been accused of burning his wife's private parts with a steaming hot clothes iron and then hitting her with a sharp object.
What happened...
The incident happened at 2 o' clock on Sunday night at the Lingarajpuram area of Bengaluru city. Dilip Kumar came home in an inebriated state at around 11 pm and slept.

However, he woke up at 2 am and started abusing his wife. He then asked his 26-year-old wife, Jacinta (name changed on request), to get more jewellery from her mother's house.
But when she refused to obey, he first beat her up with an electric rod and then burned her arms, legs and private parts with a hot clothes iron to teach her a lesson. He then hit her on her head with a sharp knife.
Unable to take it more, the wife fainted, but she was only taken to the hospital the next day when her parents arrived.
“The day after this incident occurred, the woman’s parents came to visit her. They found her in an injured state and immediately rushed her to the Ambedkar Hospital. The woman has said that Dilip had been assaulting her for a long time. She said that she had come forward to file a complaint now as she fears for her life,” Banaswadi Inspector Muniraju told thenewsminute.com.
The man has been booked under Section 326 of the Indian Penal Code (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means).
3 things you must never tolerate in a marriage
1.Abuse of any kind: Verbal, physical, emotional, financial, psychological—it doesn’t matter what kind of abuse a husband or a wife experiences. None of them is in any way right.
2. An unsupportive spouse: A marriage is a partnership between two people. Every decision, every milestone, every hardships, and shortcomings must be shouldered by both parties. This also applies to their choices both professional and personal.
3. Cheating: It’s difficult to trust again a person who has cheated once. Chances are, they will only do it again. Even if they end up not doing it, a spouse may find it difficult to trust again.
