Telly's favourite Balika Vadhu, Gehna aka Neha Marda stole many hearts with her riveting performance on the popular daily. If you recall, her character was hailed as heroic for standing up against her tyrannical mother-in-law.
And while on the show Neha's character experiences the joy of motherhood under a strict saasuma, it seems that in real life she is will not experience the same. She will enter motherhood with the support of her loving real-life saasuma.
A few months ago, it looked like Marda was all set to embrace motherhood offscreen and congratulations were in order for this gorgeous Kolkata gal.
"Today was the first day for us to sense a responsibility in life"
The actor shared a sneaky post on her Instagram page and we are wondering if that message hinted at an impending pregnancy!
Along with this photograph she wrote: "The moment you accept responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life is the moment you gain the power to change ANYTHING in your life." Today was the first day for us to sense a responsibility in life."
For the uninitiated, the 31-year-old actor married Patna-based businessman Ayushman Aggarwal in an arranged setup in 2012, and by her own admission was 'instantly drawn to him.'
"When I first laid eyes on him, I felt instantly drawn to him. Later we met over a couple of lunches and dinners again. I said yes to marriage after our second or third meeting only but Ayushman wanted me to visit Patna to get to know his family,' she shared.
The most supportive in-laws!
The Doli Armanon Ki shared that her in-laws respect her every decision and treat her more like a beti and not as a bahu.
"I am treated like a daughter by my in-laws. I am often out on shoots and they are in Patna but it never causes any problem. They are proud of my screen presence and nothing makes me happier than to see them happy," she says adding that her mum-in-law is possibly her biggest support system.
"My mother-in-law wants me to be independent. She thinks getting married and being a housewife is not the be-and-end-all of a woman's life...She must do something creative...'At my in-laws' place, every decision is taken keeping every family member in the loop... Everyone gives their opinion and I personally like such family system, where you get a chance to speak your mind,' says the lucky girl.
It is pretty clear that at this juncture of her life, she will most certainly be supported by her in-laws.
But for now, Marda has clarified that she is not pregnant. Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, the actor wrote:
"In future I would love to embrace motherhood"
Sharing that she is not expecting, Marda wrote: "Hi to all my lovely fans ... there's no truth in this news though in future I would love to embrace motherhood but not any time soon ... I would not turn twist my words to share this news with you, rather will clearly and happily announce it."
Well, we wish her well and hope that she embraces motherhood when she so desires. But till then, if you are at this critical juncture of your life, there are a few things you must remember.
