Parenting can be quite tricky. Babies are not born with attached manuals, so as a parent you have to figure out the 'right' from 'wrong.' This also means that you are now responsible to get your act together and rid yourself of all your 'bad habits,' for the sake of your kids.
But it often happens that when we think of ridding ourselves of 'bad habits,' its always about smoking, drinking or partying. But there is so much more that you will now have to give up. Every move you make will influence your children, including those previous innocent-vices.
A careless word of profanity may not affect an adult, but you don't want your child to curse around in the playground!
Here are 10 bad habits every parents must forfeit
#1 Your tech addiction

Every parent has a different idea of how much technology they want to expose their kids to. But if you on your cell phone or your laptop 24x7, it's time to raise an alarm. It'll be difficult for you to tell your kids not to do the same.
#2 Self-loathing much

Irrespective of whether you have boys or girls, you can only inculcate a sense of self-esteem in them if you are confident about your own self. After all you have to lead by example and self-loathing is no way to go about it.
If you are trying to lose weight, focus on eating healthy rather than the number on the scale.
#3 Calling 'junk' food

If you are a working mom and are always on the run, but do not avoid a healthy meal. Mums are known to be multitaskers, so put that to good use and nurture healthy eating habits.
#4 Being a gossip monger

Stop being a gossip! If you want your children to learn good habits from you, stop discussing other people negatively in front of kids. They will think it's OK to do the same in the future. You don't want to raise mean kids.
#5 Being a speedracer

So you have a fancy car, but that does not mean you will act like Michael Schumacher! You don't want to put your kids in danger. Plus, it is not a good example to set if you are caught by the traffic police violating laws.
#6 Stop cursing and fighting

Your call with your friend turns into a gossip activity and you start fighting or cursing! Not the best situation to be in, if you want to be responsible parents. Keep the language clean so your kids only pick up what you want them to.
#7 Sleeping in

This is a by-product of being a responsible parent. If you have a habit of sleeping in late, you might want to change it to inculcate good sleeping habits in your children. Remember, 'Early to bed, early to rise, makes you healthy, wealthy and wise.'
#8 Watching TV all day long

You may be addicted to your daily soap operas or those crazy reality shows, but watching TV all day or even leaving it on the whole day would set a bad example for your kids.
