Azad Khan Rao seems to be already taking interest in cricket… And is none other than Virat Kohli giving him lessons?Azad Khan Rao seems to be already taking interest in cricket… And is none other than Virat Kohli giving him lessons?

The fact that Amir chose to bring his son to a show where cricketer Virat Kohli was also present may also suggest that Azad has an affinity towards the sport.

What is it that they say about like father like son? But looks like, Aamir Khan’s son Azad Rao Khan is showing an inclination, not towards the camera but is more interested in cricket instead!

At a recent outing, the young Khan was spotted with his dad during a shoot wielding a bat. And guess who was also there to witness those masterstrokes by the young Khan? It was none other than Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Actually, both Aamir Khan and Virat Kohli recently came together for a special chat show to be telecast on TV as a Diwali special episode.

We saw Aamir and Virat at a shoot today but it was damn clear who was the REAL star...little Azad clearly the coolest ❤️❤️ FOLLOW ? @voompla . During the shoot, Aamir’s son Azad accompanied his dad and according to those present during the shoot, the 5-year-old spent the day playing with the bat and the ball. The fact that Amir chose to bring his son to a show where cricketer Virat Kohli was also present also suggests that Azad has an affinity towards the sport.

And though the coming of the two biggies like Aamir Khan and Virat Kohli was enough to create the buzz in the studio in Malad where the episode was being shot; it was the presence of Aamir’s young son that took the spotlight.

The perfect family man too

Aamir who is known to be a perfectionist and does not believe in mixing work with personal matters showed his mellow daddy side when he decided to bring along his youngest child at the shoot. In fact, Aamir had in the recent past reiterated in an interview to theIndusParent that he is now taking his daddy role very seriously and makes it a point to spend time with his young son.

Speaking exclusively to theIndusParent Aamir had said that his only regret so far is not being able to spend time with his family.

So now he has put this in his schedule: every day, when he is in Bombay, Aamir spends two hours (6-8pm) with his son, Azad. They take shower together, have dinner together and then he and his wife read a bedtime story for Azad.

But it isn’t that Aamir is restricting his role as a family man towards his young son only. In the interview, Aamir also spoke gloriously about his mum. He said: “My mother is my secret superstar: she shaped me as a person, whatever I am today.”

He also added: “She had this unique capacity to feel and care about others.”

It may be noted that Aamir is an extremely obedient son and a few years ago even took time out of his busy schedule to take his mum for Hajj pilgrimage.

Positive parenting

Both Aamir and Kiran are very guarded parents and do not believe in excess media attention towards their young son but have often talked about spending quality time with their kid. The family spent the summer in Italy together and showed young Azad landmark places such as Leaning Tower of Pisa. Despite the fact that Aamir always has a hectic work schedules, he has been seen taking out days after his shooting commitments to spend time with his family.

On the work front, Aamir is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Secret Superstars. The actor is seen sporting a nose pin avatar these days for the character in his film Thugs of Hindostan for which he has been busy shooting.

Why it may be a good idea to bring kids to your workplace once in a while… just like Aamir did

Azad Khan Rao seems to be already taking interest in cricket… And is none other than Virat Kohli giving him lessons?

Gives them a glimpse of your life: Long before we realize, kids are subconsciously absorbing a lot of things they see their parents doing. While many people believe in keeping personal and professional lives separate it may not be such a bad idea to let your kids know the nature of your work. This makes them feel more involved as well as important in your life.

Is a bonding exercise: We have all read about family bonding rituals and the importance of quality time but sometimes it is also equally important to know each other’s daily and mundane routines too. The kids should be aware of their dad or mum’s workplace as it makes them connect with their parents holistically. That explains why most companies have family day rituals.

Gives them perspective: Showing your kids your workplace also makes them realize the importance of hard work and a need for a focused career. It is a discreet way of also telling your kids that dad and mum work hard to keep the family together and how they must also grow up to choose a career of their choice.
