Good news: Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander actress Ayesha Jhulka to make a comeback!

Twenty-five years after Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Ayesha Jhulka is all set to make a comeback.

We all loved the movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and the lead actors of the movie, Aamir Khan and Ayesha Jhulka, stayed with us for the rest of our lives.

While Aamir Khan went on to become one of India's finest actors, the sweet Ayesha Jhulka, also known as the Pehla Nashaa girl after the song became a rage, also became an overnight crush all because of her girl next door image and powerful performance.

And now, twenty-five years after Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Ayesha Jhulka is all set to make a comeback.

Reports say that she would be seen in Anil Sharma's next film, Genius and the actress is quite kicked up about her character.

“My character is a classy, elegant and an independent woman who is also a liberal mother and has a friendly relationship with her daughter," the actress told a leading tabloid confirming that she was indeed making a comeback.

"I was not really prepared to work again, but Anil Ji was really insistent. It’s not the typical, conventional mother, which is what made me say ‘yes’ to it," she added.

Ayesh said bye-bye to films when she married construction businessman Sameer Vashi. The couple have been happily married for quite some time now, but Ayesha says that her husband was after her to take up acting offers.

“I have really enjoyed the time I have spent in the industry. Offers from television and web series kept coming in all along but I was not open to it then. I also suffered a slipped disc and was travelling a lot. My husband, Sameer (Vashi), sister, and the secretary had been waiting for me to take up an offer for years now," she adds.

Ayesha, however, adds that she would not be doing any role and would focus on the quality of work.

"I will be open to anything nice. A lot of people have approached me in the past for TV but I’m not open to that, yet, as it’s a very different medium. I will do something that interests me but don’t want to get into the rat race," she signed off.

Well, whatever work she does, her fans (including me)would be happy to see her back on the small screen
