Abhishek Bachchan got very upset when THIS was said about wife Aishwarya

"Nasty things were written, which really upset me. If that upset her (Aishwarya), she said nothing," shared doting hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

That Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the most beautiful woman in the world, that she is married into the most famous family of the country and that she is a doting mother is known by all.

But who she really is as a person can best be revealed by her husband.

And it looks like Abhishek Bachchan did not hold back when sharing candid details about his marriage and his wife with a glossy.

"Over the 17 years that I’ve known her...she has remained grounded"

He began by sharing his first meeting with the world's most beautiful woman and how she has remained the same since.

"The first time Aishwarya and I met professionally was in 1999, during a photoshoot for Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). It was our first film together, and I expected a diva. Instead, she was disarmingly wonderful. Over the 17 years that I’ve known her—of which we’ve been married for 10—she has remained grounded," he began.

He also spoke about how Aishwarya seamlessly adapted the responsibilities of a mother.

"When she became a mother her career took a backseat. Today, she does everything for Aaradhya. She is supermom," shares the proud husband.

"Nasty things were written, which really upset me"

However, he did add that there were quite a few things the media wrote about his wife that irked him. He called them "nasty things" but shared that it was Aishwarya who calmed him down even though people were criticising her constantly.

"Soon after Aaradhya was born, the media went at her about her weight gain. Nasty things were written, which really upset me. If that upset her, she said nothing. “Water off a duck’s back,” said Aishwarya when she saw me perturbed. Anyone who knows her would know that she has never spent a day in the gym. The only time was when we were shooting Dhoom 2 (2006), and Uday (Chopra), Hrithik (Roshan) and I dragged her," shared Abhishek.

"I’ve never heard her complain"

As for what keeps the charm and chemistry between them alive, Bachchan shares that no matter what the circumstance, Aishwarya always keeps her focus on the big picture and doesn't fret about petty issues.

"Till date people refer to her as the most beautiful woman in the world, and I know she is immensely grateful for the love. She values her fans and enjoys the adulation as well as the trappings of her career. Even with the hectic travel schedules and erratic work hours, I’ve never heard her complain about front or back of the plane, Maruti or Mercedes. Her focus isn’t on the trivial. It’s these things that leave me charmed," shares the doting husband.

Well, the chemistry and love between this couple was always evident but with their constant support and love for each other in trying times has only proved it more. They have so far exemplified the true meaning of marriage and continue to remain an inspiration to many.
