Christmas is not just a festival, but also a memorable day for most of us. Families get together, eat together, pray together and celebrate the spirit of the giving. But it’s also a special day for some others who share their birthday with Christ.

So if your child has a holiday birthday, you have to be a smart parent and personalise the celebrations. There are many options available in the market that can help. After all, your child and his friends are already so excited about the festivities.

Check out these interesting ideas to make your child’s holiday birthday special.

If you are planning to organize the party at home, decorate it to celebrate both the occasions. Pick a Christmas theme, if you child’s birthday falls on Christmas. Bring in some festoons and balloons in green, white and red.

Hang on some candy canes and keep some edible candy canes all around the house for the kids to have them while they enjoy the party.

Games are an integral part of birthday parties and a Christmas birthday party is no different. For a holiday birthday, you can try these games.

Decorating the Christmas tree: Bring a plain Christmas tree or maybe two, if you have large number of kids coming in. Keep the decorative material ready and ask them to decorate one. They will certainly enjoy adoring the tree and let them click some selfies. Cap the Santa: Make a cutout of Santa on a cardboard. Make sure the Santa is not wearing his cap. Ask the children to put a cap on Santa while blindfolded. This is indeed going to be fun.

Christmas party without Uncle Claus seems to be incomplete. Hire somebody to play the part at your party as a surprise and let your child be the one to distribute return gifts you have planned. Have fun with the kids as they click photographs with Santa.

Make sure that the music you play goes well with the Christmas theme. There can be more of Christmas Carols played along with birthday songs. You could also have your kids sing a few Christmas songs and keep them engaged.

You can bake a cake at home, since Christmas calls for festivities and homemade delicacies. However, you need not worry if you are not good at baking, as your nearby market will have ample of options.

You can try out some unusual shapes like candy cane, elves, Santa or a Christmas tree as the design of the cake. Kids are sure to be excited to look at such a cake.

Add caps, candy canes, stars and Santa hats and masks in the party ambience for the children to collect, wear and enjoy. You can even add some Christmas toys like, Rudolf the reindeer, elves and more, to add to the spirit.

Though it may not sound that feasible to take the kids anywhere on Christmas, since all the malls and restaurants are jam packed on this day, you can book a venue well in advance if you do not want all the mess at home. They will make all the arrangements and all you and your little darlings have to do is enjoy themselves.
