Most star kids of Bollywood are born with a huge responsibility. They not only have to match up to the stardom of their parents, but also in some cases, the grandparents, who are perhaps more notable than the parents.

But that certainly hasn't put much pressure on these star kids given the support they get from their families, especially the naanis.

All of these grandmums are completely hands-on and are clearly the nucleus of these famous families.

Click 'Start Gallery' to see how these super naanis are helping out their daughters and grandchildren and being a positive influence in their busy lives.

Vrinda Rai

Vrinda Rai

Right from when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan became a Miss World, to when she became an actor and then a star wife and a mother, Rai has been with her daughter like a pillar. In fact, the doting daughter recently admitted to the importance of her mum in her and Aaradhya's life.

"My mother is the nucleus of my existence, she has gently moulded me, shaped me, picked me up when I’ve been down, kept the faith in me, and taught me to be the best version of myself that I can be," shared Aishwarya.

Babita Kapoor

Having been a support system to elder daughter Karisma Kapoor and her kids Samaira and Kiaan Raj, Babita Kapoor seems to be helping out younger daughter and new mum Kareena Kapoor Khan and baby Taimur Ali Khan.

In fact, in an interview Kareena even called her mum her god who sacrificed everything for her daughters.

"For me, my mother is like God. She is, literally, the person I pray to. She is the sunshine and the oxygen in my life," said Kareena, adding "She has done everything for my sister and me. She is a true woman of substance. All I know is that I can’t live without my mother. The mother-child relationship is one that you can’t put into words.”

Sunanda Shetty

Shilpa Shetty Kundra's mum Sunanda Shetty has always stood by her daughters and inspired them to work harder and become survivors. She has also been the force that pushed her daughters to pursue their dreams.

In fact, during a show tapping an emotional Shilpa shared her shocking birth story that also reflected her mum's strength.

"When my mom was pregnant with me, the doctors had said I will not survive since my mother was bleeding continuously for six months. They also said that the child will not be born normal. But mother decided that she would go ahead with giving me birth. I really believe that my mom was so firm about her decision because she had the faith that she would give birth to her baby, despite what the doctors said. She believed if I survive this, I will be a ‘born survivor’.”

Salma Khan (nee Sushila Charak)

Salma Khan (nee Sushila Charak)

The matriarch of the Khan parivaar Salma Khan or Sushila Charak has has an influencing role in her family members' lives. She is adored by everybody and her homecooked biryani is quite famous too! But that's not what defines this strong lady.

Having taken care of her grandchildren, she is now playing the doting naani to her daughter Arpita's son Ahil.

In fact, even her son believes that she has been a positive factor in Ahil's lives as well as his own. "My mother. It's a different kind of love for both my parents. I get my energy and strength from my father. My mother, because she dotes on all of us and the amount she cares, protects and is all the time tensed for us. That makes us feel a lot more for her health. She is so lovely and that is not only with us but also our friends, the wives and with whoever there was in my life. With everyone she is just the same. She is a simple Maharashtrian lady. She is funny, noble and very correct," he shared with a daily.

Neetu Kapoor

The quintessential daughter-in-law of the Kapoor family, Neetu Kapoor has always been the doting mum to her two kids and now is a doting naani to her granddaughter Samara Sahni.

In fact, in an interview she revealed that she is as close to Samara as her daughter was close to her naani.

"Riddhima, my daughter, was the closest to my mom, she called her nanu...," she shared adding that her own mother was a "huge guiding force in my life," as she is in her daughter's life.

Hema Malini

The latest entrant onto the naani bandwagon is Hema Malini. Her younger daughter Ahaana gave birth to Darien Vohra just last year and it seems he is now the apple of his naanis eyes.

In fact, she is so in love with her grandson that she now thinks her husband has a major competition when it comes to breaking hearts!

"Darien is a Greek name. And my grandson is definitely going to be a Greek God, just like his grandfather,” she shared adding, "All of us are together. My husband, daughters, sons-in-law. Could I have asked for a better birthday? And this birthday I was gifted with another Greek God in my life. Darian is going to be a heartbreaker."

She also had a special wish for her grandson on her birthday last year. I just want my daughters and their families to be happy. And I want Darian to grow up with the fine values that Dharamji has always believed in," she shared.

Dimple Kapadia

The doting naani that Dimple Kapadia is, she mentions that she cannot have enough of her cute little grandkids.

In an interview she mentioned, "I can't have enough of my grandson Aarav (Twinkle's son) and my granddaughter Naomika (Rinke's daughter). They're a handful, but when I am around them, I'm at complete peace with myself."

In fact, she even added that she loves them the same way her own mother loved Twinkle and Rinke, leaving the two mums to discipline their kids, especially when grandmum Dimple is around!
