In a country that is often idolised for its cultural diversity, many famous families have been at the forefront of the cause. Whether it has been inter-religious or inter-cultural marriages, these couples seem to have made a conscious decision to put faith over everything else and are teaching their kids the same.

A recent example of this cultural diversity was witnessed when a so-called fan questioned director Shirish Kunder, who himself is a Hindu and his wife, Farah Khan is a Muslim.

The lady in question asked Kunder, "Your Kids Hindus or Muslims?" to which the director gave a befitting reply and proved why he rightly won the Internet today. In fact, his answer proves how we must all raise our kids to be culturally diverse and respectful.

He showed us how to do parenting right!

Choreographer Farah Khan along with her triplets, Anya, Czar and Diva; and husband Shirish Kunder were on a tour of the US for two weeks. The family spent their Christmas and New Year's at Uncle Sams and it seems the beautiful cultural diversity within their family has irked some of their so-called fans.

One lady in particular, read Fatima Arya, pointed at a picture of the family that the doting dad shared and asked on twitter, "@ShirishKunder Your Kids Hindus or Muslims?" to which he gave a befitting reply.

Kunder wrote, "Depends on which festival is next. Last month, they were Christians."

With that one sentence Kunder not only won the Internet, but many hearts, gaining respect and love from people across social media.

Actor Hrithik Roshan and ex-wife Sussane Khan are both from different religious backgrounds, but they are raising their sons liberally, as any parent should.

The exes who got married in 2000, but divorced in 2014, after 14 years of marriage, celebrate all festivals together, irrespective of their religious connotations and it seems are teaching their kids the same.

The new dad Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife Amrita Singh together have two kids, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The couple who came together, despite their age and religious differences, are raising culturally aware kids.

And, now with the arrival of Taimur Ali Khan, with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is a practicing Christian, the Pataudi family will be a truly multi-cultural one.

While Aamir Khan has two kids, Juanid Khan and Ira Khan from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, he has a son named Azad Rao Khan from his marriage to Kiran Rao.

The family has been openly multi-cultural and have often reiterated that faith is as important as religion. But the kids have so far followed Islamic faith and Aamir is quite happy with it, also give than Rao is an atheist only makes everything easier.

The supermodel-turned actor Arjun Rampal (Hindu-Punjabi), who is married to a fellow supermodel, Mehr Jessia (who is a Parsi) is also in an inter-religious relationship. While religion and faith has not impacted the marriage or how the couple are raising their two girls, Myra and Mahikaa.

In fact, in an interview Rampal stated that his daughters are the apples of his eyes and he feels relaxed when he gets back home to them. "When you come back, you do so with a fresh approach a fresh mind and automatically, that reflects in the work you do," he said.

When the bubbly Genelia fell in love with the talented fellow actor Riteish Deshmukh, their religious difference did not matter to the love birds.

Today, after four years of marriage, the couple have proved how unity in diversity works in a marriage and in a family. They have two young sons, Rahyl and Riaan and they are raising the kids in a multi-cultural environment and the family celebrates all festivals together.

When you love blossomed between Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Chibber, religion did not matter for the much-in-love couple. In fact, when they had kids, King Khan even said, "I don't teach my children what is Hindu and what is Muslim.”

And with the birth of their third child, AbRam, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri proved that they are as secular as it can get. "His name is based on a variation of Prophet Abraham. And, I liked the connotation that it is kind of a secular name (with the word ‘Ram’ in it)," SRK explained. The family celebrates all festivals and their multi-cultural life was also documented in a short-series.
