7 engaging activities mothers and daughters can do together

Being a mother to a daughter is truly a blessing. The fun and giggles that the duo share is unrivalled to any other relationship and both can be each other’s besties forever! And you can get the best out of this lovely bond by working on innovative projects together. This way you get to spend more time with your princess and enjoy the activities along with them.

Here are some real cool projects that the two of you can work on together.

Enjoy chick flicks at home

Enjoy chick flicks at home

Nothing can beat watching a jazzy chick flick romantic comedy with some popcorns thrown in for fun. You can do this alone with daughter at home and spend a good time together- laughing, crying, wiping each other’s tears, the works! Or make a day of it and go hit the theatres for a teary-eyed or comic caper chick flick.

Have fun making craft items

Have fun making craft items

It is fun to try your hands on something creative like some quilling, weaving or decorating your home with some DIY showpieces. So, if your girl loves cutting, pasting and painting, what can be better to bond than designing something colourful and beautiful together. It can be some wall hangings, tablemats or anything that she has recently learnt in school. Won’t it be fun!!
Make a collage together

It will be fun to collect the photographs clicked in past and narrate stories to your daughter related to those experiences. She would enjoy those moments while chatting and simultaneously making the collage. Plus, let’s not forget, a beautiful masterpiece is also being created.
A soul-searching session over coffee

A soul-searching session over coffee

You may have so much that you’d like to share with your daughter, and doing it over a cup of coffee is really the best time. Both of you are relaxed and in the mood to do some soul-searching and some major sharing. So share away!
Start a book club

Start a book club

It is wonderful idea if you both are readers. The choice of genres may be different but you can always share your interests and start a book club. If you want to expand this club, you can invite your friends over. Believe us, it is great fun.
Join classes together

Join classes together

You can join some cake-making or cookie-making classes together. You can even join aerobics or dance classes. This will keep you both fit and motivated since you have each other to fall back on, in case of those cheat days. This will also give you time with each other, get to know what the other likes and have fun!
Sewing or knitting together

Sewing or knitting together

Spend some time on teaching her how to sew or knit. It may take sometime and she may get restless, but that’s the beauty of this activity. You will teach her to be patient and work dedicatedly to see positive results. This will help in making her new things she can be really proud of and also cement your bond further.
