5 gorgeous mother-daughter duos we'd love to see onscreen5 gorgeous mother-daughter duos we'd love to see onscreen

Whether or not these young girls choose a career in the limelight, is their decision, but we do hope to see them with their star mums sometime in the future!

For a child born into a famous Bollywood family, living in the limelight becomes second nature. Their names appear in the newspapers, their pictures are taken by the paparazzi and they may even be touted as the next big superstars.

So it comes as no surprise that they may express their willingness to join the movie industry, just like their parents. Take for instance, Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana, who we hear aspires to be an actor soon.

But she is not the only one we'd love to see onscreen, especially with her star parents. How about watching popular off screen mother-daughter duos onscreen? Not only will we witness some fabulous talent, but also a wonderful bond between these famous mother-daughter duos.

Whether or not these young girls choose a career in the limelight, is their decision, but we do hope to see them with their star mums sometime in the future! Here's a curated list of five such popular mother-daughter duos, who we'd love to see onscreen and are positive will evoke our emotional side!

#1 Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan

Although her family lineage and that surname is enough for her to become a big superstar someday, we will wait and see if she chooses to follow in the footsteps of her star parents!

We can only hope that this former beauty queen soon accompanies her star daughter to the big screen. For the time being though, Aishwarya is enjoying her life as a mum, whilst taking her parenting responsibility seriously.

Talking about why she has to be a protective mum to Aaradhya she once said, "Aaradhya has seen it (the limelight) since birth and I would like to think she is used to it. But when Aaradhya saw these people (photographers) coming, she just wanted to stop in her tracks and squatted on the floor. I knew it was time for me to pick her up. I just wanted everyone to be safe, including my child."

#2 Kajol and Nysa Devgan

Kajol and Nysa share a rather friendly relationship and we can spot the same through Kajol's many Instagram posts. But as far as stardom for Nysa is concerned, mum Kajol is quite clear about the things she'd want her daughter to learn before she joins the limelight.

In an interview Kajol once said, “She is going to grow up as Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s daughter and there is going to be a hell lot of scrutiny on her which has already started. She has to grow up and understand that stardom is all well and fine. Everything is outside the house. Inside the house you are yourself without your mask.”

#3 Sushmita Sen and Renee Sen

This former Miss Universe, as we all know is a doting mum and loves spending time with her daughters. In fact, we get a sneak peek into her unique parenting style and her candid moments with her girls through her social media accounts.

No wonder then, we 'd love to see the two grace the big screen together. Two years ago in an interview she said that parenting is the ultimate romance and we are sure her unique style will rightly influence her daughter's career as well.

"I don’t think there could be any other word that describes it better than that. It’s never easy parenting. It has its ups and downs and it’s definitely not easy being a single parent. But the romance is in seeing something grow so beautifully, which you have personally nurtured and nourished," she said.

#4 Sridevi and Jahnavi Kapoor

With a talented artist as her mother and a reputed producer as her father, Jahnavi Kapoor can just as easily become the next superstar.

And by the looks of how well she is being groomed by mum Sridevi, we are sure that day is not too far away in the future. And we'd love to see that happen and with the mother-daughter duo onscreen together! In fact, in several interviews Sridevi has often reiterated that she is not a strict mother and supports her kids' choice.

"I want my children to enjoy themselves. They go to their friend's houses; have them over to play, but they know their limits. I generally don't have to tell them "don't do this" or "don't do that". Yes, they are very much aware that they are celebrity children. They are proud of my achievements, and proud of the fact that their father is a film producer. They love watching my movies and the movies produced by their Dad... but that is normal. They are very down-to-earth; not spoilt at all! As for parenting decisions, it's a joint effort," she said in an India Today interview.

#5 Karisma and Samaira Kapoor

Coming from a family that is often called the 'first family of Bollywood,' we are sure Samaira Kapoor would follow in the footsteps of her talented mother Karisma Kapoor.

But whether or not Samaira joins the bandwagon (that too with mum Karisma) is yet to be seen. For now, Karisma is happy being a working mum to her kids who are still studying and clearly wants them to enjoy this phase before they move to their careers.

"Earlier, it was a conscious decision for me not to work. I was happy to be away and I wanted to be with my children during their formative years. I do step out now, but my first priority is my kids. This is how it will always be for me,” she said in an interview.

While we can all wait for these mother-daughter duos to appear onscreen together, we know that the more important thing is that all these celeb mums have certainly made their kids their priority and are treading cautiously to raise confident and happy young children.
