It's aptly said that being a daughter-in-law in India is not easy. They often face discrimination, dejection and in some cases are treated like housemaids.

But there are some women who are lucky enough to have a friend in their mother-in-law. They share a warm rapport with each other and support each other in every way possible. Plus, it doesn't hurt that these lucky daughters-in-law are all famous faces, thereby making it normal for two women in the same house to have a respectful and loving relationship.

So how do they manage to have such a warm relationship? Well, these beauties reveal the secret and share tips on what works best!

The legendary actor and now a third-time grandmum, Sharmila Tagore has always shared warm vibes with daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Both the ladies always have great things to say about each other. For instance, in an interview Kareena said, "She is the ultimate actor in the film industry. She’s a living legend. I also look up to her for the way she has lived her life and brought up her three children. She has been an amazing wife and mother. I aspire to strike that balance in my life.”

The mum-in-law also had great things to say about her bahu and said, "Kareena has been so lovely. She has carried her pregnancy effortlessly and gracefully…kisiki nazar na lag jaye. She is enjoying every moment of her pregnancy. She is dressing up, going out and being so natural and beautiful about it."

A usually reclusive Veena Devgan has been instrumental is helping Kajol adjust to a life at home post marriage and especially post motherhood.

This is a fact that even Kajol has accepted many times and openly thanks her mum-in-law for her support.

In fact, in an interview she said, "I am married into a family which is different from the one I grew up in. Here, women are more typically uni-dimensional, like in most homes. My mother-in-law, Ma, is simple and straightforward.... Glorious though the last two years (post motherhood) have been, I would not have survived them without her. I sometimes feel I am married to Ma…Ajay is out most of the time.”

The matriarch of one of the most famous filmy families in India, Pamela Chopra shares a warm relationship with her bahu no. 2, Rani Mukerji. She is said to have been close to her son's Aditya Chopra's first wife, Payal as well, but all is well in the Chopra family now.

The two get along very well and have even come out publicly in support of each other at many events. Speaking to the media post Rani's pregnancy announcement she shared some interesting details about their relationship.

"Rani is a lovely girl. There are some things that I find very special about her. She is a very down-to-earth girl and extremely respectful of me. We have a very good relationship," she shared.

It was often noted that mum-in-law Jaya Bachchan would guide her famous daughter-in-law whenever in public and even lent her a shoulder during a recent event when she was tired. It only meant that they share a strong relationship together.

In fact, Abhishek in an interview revealed that the two shared such a lovely friendship, so much so that they even gang up on him.

"Maa and Ash gang up against me and they keep rattling on in Bengali. Mom knows the language because she is Bengali and Aishwarya had worked with Rituparno Ghosh in 'Chokher Bali', so she also can speak the language quite well. So, whenever they have to team up against me, they start talking in Bengali," he shared.

Not many people are aware that actor Sonali Bendre Behl is extremely close to her mum-in-law, Madhu Behl. They share a warm relationship and are often seen lunching and brunching together with family friends.

In fact, in an interview Sonali shared a personal anecdote. She said, When we got married, my mother-in-law gave me the choice to live separately and said, "My son lost his father early and is very protective about all of us. I know what he will want to say and you will feel the pressure. I have daughters and know how you will feel, so I am fine with your decision.' It sounds like a cliche but I feel for my mother-in-law what I feel for my mother and it's because of what she gives me and how she makes me feel."
