5 super comfy alternatives to bra you must try this summer
Summer is upon us, so is the desire to go 'bra less.' Try these super comfy alternatives to bra that you can sport every day!
Ever wondered if you could replicate the #GoBraLess campaign with as much confidence as women across the globe did? To roam around free and unfettered would be a nice change. But is it really possible?
While all of these prospects sound adventurous, we are all too familiar with the gazes and embarrassment that comes with attempting to go 'free' even for a day. So what are some of the best alternatives to bras that can keep you cool without wearing something that is constantly poking your ribs or causing a stir?
We have a few suggestions...
#1 Sew-in cup bras
It seems that Bollywood's favorite friend is also the sew-in cup bra. From Madhuri Dixit-Nene in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun to Kajol Devgn in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, everybody has been 'sewed' into perfection once.
What makes it so great is that it's hassle-free and you can also try them for all your traditional Indian wear including blouses and anarkali. With this option you can experiment with backless or a plunging neckline. Win-win!
They are similar to tube tops and certainly a must for summers. If you are a beach bum, this option is best for you. You can also try one with padding or with an underwire if you are comfortable with these two.
Our Shandaar girl, Alia Bhatt seems to have pulled off this look effortlessly. The best thing about bandeau is that it's strapless, which means there's no weight on your shoulders. Live free!
#3 Padded camisole
You can easily find them in any garment store and team them with pants, jeans or even skirts. These are easy-breezy and most of the are colourful. If you're not too sure about going out with just the camisole, throw on a jacket and Voila!
Take a look at how Mastani Deepika Padukone is pulling this look off. You can also team it up with trendy neckpieces or belts. Super chic!
#4 Sports bra
If you're not the fashionista kind, this alternative is good for you. Although it is preferable that you wear it only to your gym but if you want that one bra less day, this is a good alternative, albeit you team it up with a super loose shirt.
This way you won't reveal too much and still get to be cool and comfortable. Jism star Bipasha Basu flaunts her super toned body in one. Sporty chic!
Now this is a tricky one. You have to master the art of being comfortable in a pasty. Most women wear it under blouses or shirts that are well-fitted or are strapless. Miley Cyrus has worn it many times.
A recent example of how you should actually carry off a pasty was demonstrated by actress Nargis Fakri, during the MTV Movie Awards this year. Super confident and sexy!
