The hot summers are here and so are body odours. Yes, that's right. Unless you live in an air-conditioned mall, you are bound to sweat or come across people with strong body odour. But let's be fair, they are not at fault.
All of us produce sweat and that in itself is odourless. But when it gets mixed with microscopic bacteria that are found naturally in the skin, it produces a stench. And that could be a nightmare for everybody.
So if you are struggling with this issue, we have some simple desi home-remedies that can help you within 10 minutes.
Now, if you argue that none of this works for you and you still feel that you're giving out a stench, then you can try these home-remedies. These are quick, extremely effective and all these products are usually available at home.
As you know, lemon has acidic properties. So this property essentially lowers our body's pH level and makes it difficult for the bacteria to survive.
So all you need to do is to cut a lemon into two halves and rub it in the areas where you produce the most sweat. Make sure that the juice of the lemons comes well in contact with that particular area. Allow it to dry and then take a shower after 10 or 15 minutes. Alternatively you can squeeze a lemon in your bath and shower with that water.
You can use tomatoes also to get rid of that body odour. They have antiseptic properties and therefore, can also kill this odour-causing bacteria in no time.
Basically all you have to do is squeeze the juice of a few tomatoes (4-5 minimum) and add this juice to your bucket of water. Take a batch with this tomato-filled water regularly and you will see the difference within a week or so. Alternatively, you can start drinking tomato juice daily.
If you have baking soda at home, you can use that to get rid of body odour as well. It works to absorb the moisture in the skin thereby reducing the production of excessive sweat.
All you need is to add one tablespoon of baking soda to one tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply it to your underarms to areas that stink and let it dry for about 5-10 minutes. Make sure to not scrub the area because that could cause unnecessary irritation in the area.
Once dry, take a shower and continue the process three to four times in a week.
