10 style inspirations you should take from Bipasha Basu's wedding

Although the handsome couple gave us some major fashion goals, it was the style quotient brought on by their guests that made it the best summer wedding this year

After a blazing bachelorette and much excitement over the last few weeks, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover finally got married in what could be easily be the wedding of the year!

Dressed in a beautiful Sabyasachi red lehenga, Basu looked every bit the gorgeous bride, while Grover was the traditional Bengali groom in his pristine white dhoti. And although the handsome couple gave us some major fashion goals, it was the style quotient brought on by their guests that made it the best summer event!

We chose 10 of the most stylish guests who gave us some much needed 'stylespiration' that you can use at any summer wedding!

#1 Traditional is always in vogue

Take a cue from this super gorgeous Manish Malhotra lehenga that has handcrafted brocade work. This is not just perfect for a summer wedding, but you can even wear this for an Autumn function. In fact, you can mix and match and try different colours for the blouse, keeping the skirt same.

#2 Try mirror work this summer

While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's idea of summer dressing may not be for everybody, we absolutely love the mirror work on this Manish Malhotra jacket. She could have replaced the lehenga with a sleeker raw silk pant or palazzo. So we recommend the same if you want to use this jacket for any summer occasion.

#3 A simple salwaar suit can be used for many occasions

Shamita Shetty looks elegant and summer-ready in this beautiful outfit by Abho. If you are not a fan of heavy designs and like a more comfortable look for a day occasion, this is exactly what you should be looking at. It gives you just the right amount of style and comfort.

#4 Palazzos can be super versatile

Dressed for my friend @bipashabasu mehendi celebration????Thankyou @arpita__mehta for this stunning ensemble, too cute????

And Shilpa Shetty Kundra shows us how! This is such a beautiful and graceful look on her. Again, she also uses the perfect summer colour- canary yellow, with a beige palazzo. Not only is this a great summer combination, but this particular ensemble will give you a younger and sexier look. Team it up with minimalistic accessories and you are good to go.

#5 A-line skirts are a rage this season

Dia Mirza looks ethereal in this Shantanu and Nikhil's Spring Summer '16 collection, finished with jewellery from Renu Oberoi. We're not huge fans of the arms on the outfit, but the overall look is stunning and something you can carry off during the summers. We recommend that you replace her top with a trendier and simpler crop top.

#6 Yellow IS the colour of the season!

Actor/director Divya Khosla Kumar, knows exactly how to dress up in the summers. There couldn't a more perfect colour to wear in this season and, especially one that has such intricate and light work. She has worn her hair down and it gives her a really young look. If you want to wear a bright colour for a summer occasion, we recommend that you wear minimal accessory and let your hair down to enjoy the party!

#7 You cannot go wrong with a long kurti and palazzos

#Repost @vi_basu with @repostapp. ・・・ Dee and I both rocking @lailamotwane outfits. #monkeywedding

A photo posted by Deanne Panday (@deannepanday) on

Deanne Panday sporting a peach kurti and palazzo will give you major summer style goals. Her outfit screams summer coolness and is the perfect colour to give a soothing vibes. Pair it with accessories as she has or you go with a complete floral jewellery set since it's a colour you can experiment accessories with. You could also go a kundan or polki set and a huge maang tika.

#8 Net sarees can never go out of style

And Farah Khan Ali shows us exactly how you should carry one. She looks ethereal in this Shaina NC piece, wearing her own jewellery. But we recommend that you go easy on the jewellery and wear a lighter silver(ish) piece. Do NOT team this kind of saree with heavy gold jewellery, it will ruin your outfit. Keep the blouse light and simple so as to let the saree take centrestage.

#9 Traditional with a twist

There is nothing you won't love about Sonam Kapoor's outfit. It is actually a traditional Bengali white and red saree that has been given a super sexy western twist with a tube blouse. She wears it like a diva, so if you want to replicate this look, we suggest you also experiment with a blouse and drape the saree like she does. The idea is to keep the blouse on the minimal side.

# 10 Gotapatti and some powder blue please

Malaika Arora Khan looks beautiful in this Anita Dongre gotapatti lehenga. Her colour is perfect for a summer wedding and wearing her long tresses back, gives her enough comfort to enjoy the heavy outfit and the occasion. We recommend that you go easy on accessories during summers.
